How to play

The same one-minute tutorial as in the app: warm up with 2 digits, then the real rules and every mode.

Tutorial · secret 47

Learn it in three guesses

  1. Make your first guess 12.

No signs at all: neither 1 nor 2 is in the number. That is useful too!

  2. Now try 74.

−2: both digits are in the number, but in the wrong places.

  3. What if we swap them? Type 47.

+2: both digits are in the right place. You got it!

    Tutorial: secret 47, second guess

    Goal

Find the secret number in as few guesses as you can. It has 4 different digits and never starts with 0 (in Solo you can also pick 5 or 6 digits).

    Clues

After each guess you see two signs: + right digit, right place; − right digit, wrong place. No signs means none of your digits are in the number. Color-blind mode makes + and − readable without color.

    Rule digits out

Once you know a digit is not in the number, long-press it on the keypad: it gets crossed out, the key dims and it stops competing for your attention. You focus only on the digits that are still possible; the board remembers for you. Long-press again to bring it back. In Practice and the Daily Puzzle your crossed-out digits are saved with the game.

    Modes

Daily Puzzle, Solo (Practice), Turn-Based, Adrenaline and Private Room. Tap ? on a mode card for its rules.

    Coins

You start with 50 coins. A ranked match costs 2; the winner takes the 4 in the pot, and a draw returns 1 to each player. A private room costs 4. Solving the daily puzzle earns 2. A friend joining with your invite code earns you 25. If you drop below 2 coins, you are topped up to 4 once a day. Coins are in-game only and cannot be cashed out.

    Points and league

You start with 1000 points. Ranked win +4, draw +1, loss -4. Solving the daily puzzle gives 2–16 points (fewer guesses, more points; +1 if you solve before half the time is up). Your points show on the weekly league and all-time leaderboard; the weekly league resets every Monday. The weekly top 10 earn a badge.

    Fair play

Rules run on the server, the number you are looking for is never sent to your device, and timers use server time.

    Peaky Premium

Optional monthly subscription: 150 coins a month, a profile photo and a VIP badge on leaderboards. The whole game is playable without it. Cancel any time in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.

    Mode rules

    Daily Puzzle

    1. The same number for everyone; renewed every midnight, Türkiye time.
    2. 8 guesses, 90 seconds. The timer starts the moment you press "Start".
    3. 2 coins and 2–16 points for solving it; the daily leaderboard ranks by guesses, then time.
    4. One puzzle a day keeps your streak alive.

    Solo (Practice)

    1. 4, 5 or 6 digits (Standard / Expert / Legend).
    2. No timer and no guess limit; points do not change.
    3. An unfinished game is saved so you can pick it up later.

    Turn-Based (Ranked 1v1)

    1. Entry 2 coins. You are matched with a player close to your rating.
    2. Each player sets a secret number for the other (30 s).
    3. Take turns guessing; 90 s per move. Running out of time loses the turn; missing 2 in a row forfeits the match.
    4. Win 2 rounds to take it; if 5 rounds end level, a 30-second sudden death: one shared number, first to crack it wins.
    5. Win +4 coins · +4 points, draw +1 coin · +1 point, loss -4 points.

    Adrenaline

    1. Entry 2 coins; you both solve the same number at the same time.
    2. 8 guesses, 2 s between guesses.
    3. Your rival's clues appear in a live feed; the first to crack it wins.
    4. Two minutes of inactivity forfeits the match.

    Private Room

    1. Invite a friend by username; the invite lasts 30 s.
    2. The host pays 4 coins; one round, no points at stake.
    3. Report or block a player after the match or from the leaderboard.

    Questions about the rules

Can the secret number start with 0?

No. The number never starts with 0 and its digits are all different; your guesses follow the same rule.

    What does "no signs" mean?

None of the digits in your guess are in the secret number. That is valuable: you can rule all of them out.

Do + and − tell me which digit is right?

No, only how many. You work out which digit is in place by comparing your guesses.

What happens when time runs out?

In the daily puzzle the puzzle counts as lost. In a turn-based match the turn passes to your opponent; missing two turns in a row forfeits the match.

I am color-blind. How do I tell the clues apart?

Clues are always readable by shape + sign: + is a filled badge, − an outlined one. Settings › Color-blind mode switches the colors to blue/amber.

How do I mark digits I have ruled out?

Long-press the digit on the keypad; it gets crossed out and dims. Long-press again to restore it. That way the possibilities live on the board, not in your head.
